Home Support Worker
About This Program
The Home Support Worker (HSW) Readiness Program is a 7‑week, skills-focused training pathway designed to prepare participants for entry-level roles in Ontario’s home and community care sector. Delivered through hands-on learning rather than exams, the program builds practical caregiving abilities, workplace readiness, and safety awareness. Participants gain experience in areas such as daily living support, communication, dementia care, infection control, and palliative support. Graduates earn stackable micro‑credentials, First Aid/CPR certification, and a Learnist Certificate of Completion, equipping them with the confidence, job-ready skills, and recognized credentials needed to begin a career as a Home Support Worker. This program is in partnership with Learnist & ACCES Employment.
