“I left my country Kenya in November 2022, a long journey, which ended in January 2023 when I arrived in Canada. I later moved to Ontario and got referred to New Circles (Glow Program) by my caseworker. I found out about the HSW program from the flyers at the reception area and then enrolled.

Throughout this program, I gained valuable insights, developed new skills, and met incredible people who have inspired and supported me along the way. The dedication and expertise of the organizers, instructor, staff, and fellow participants have made this experience truly transformative. I appreciate the thought and effort that went into planning and executing this program, as it has enriched my personal and professional life in countless ways. The knowledge and experiences I have gained will undoubtedly have a lasting impact. I am now employed at Heimstead Lodge in Alberta as a Health Care Aide.

Thank you once again for making this program possible and I look forward to carrying the lessons and connections forward in my journey. With deepest gratitude!”
