About This Program

An 8‑week, full‑time training program designed to build strong foundational skills for customer service and retail roles. The program provides hands‑on learning in key essential employability skills, including communication, teamwork, problem‑solving, and self‑confidence.

Participants also receive 80 hours of paid internship experience at the GLOW store, allowing them to apply newly developed skills in a real workplace setting. This program is in partnership with Centennial College. 

The training program also includes:

  • Visual merchandising
  • Health and safety
  • Loss prevention
  • Customer service and Sales
  • Soft skills development: communication, teamwork, and self‑confidence.

Program Details

This program is offered in April, September, February.

Duration: 8 weeks + 80 hours of paid internship for eligible participants

Eligibility: Racialized newcomers, CLB 5+

Format: Hybrid (Zoom)

Location: 44 Mobile Drive, Toronto, ON

Note that due to the classroom sizes and high volume of applicants, not all applicants are guaranteed a spot in the program.
