Our non-profit purpose is to clothe and educate those in need, fostering dignity and knowledge. We provide vital connections, enabling access to resources and advice, while providing emotional support, enhancing resilience, and expanding opportunities for those in need. New Circles is more than clothes, we are the fabric of empowerment.

New Circles offers a free service that provides new or gently used, quality clothing to individuals and families in need who are living on a limited income, to meet their needs. Our unique clothing program simulates a retail experience, offering a comfortable and welcoming environment. We stock essentials such as winter coats, boots and running shoes as well as specialty items such as maternity wear, and plus size clothing. Our focus remains on providing an inclusive and respectful shopping experience for our clients. This environment also serves as a training platform for our clients enrolled in our skills training programs, so that they can build employable skills and transition into the workplace.

How It Works

Program Eligibility

Our clothing program is available to individuals and families in need living on a limited income. Clients can register at New Circles and are eligible to three shopping trips of one hour each for two years after registration. At the conclusion of two years, clients are reassessed to determine if they still qualify to use the services.

Referring Agencies

Individuals can be referred via a social service agency, a settlement worker, employment counsellor, or another social service worker.

Referring agencies can also book an appointment for clients by clicking here. If a client was previously referred to New Circles, there is no need to submit a new referral. A reassessment will be done after the last visit.

How to Apply

If you are living on a limited income, please email  or click  to book your first appointment.

If for some reason a client does not qualify for the program, New Circles is pleased to refer you to services at other agencies.

Step 2 – Arrive for Appointment

For your first appointment please bring proof of address, and a valid photo ID such as an immigration document, Driver’s License, or a valid passport for each family member you wish to shop for, along with proof of your family income. We can’t always provide bags, so please bring your own.

Step 3 – Shop

On the day you arrive you will be told how many items you can select for yourself, and for each of your registered family members. This will be determined by age and gender, based on our most recent donations. Because we are dependent on clothing donations, we cannot guarantee the availability of any items or sizes, and what’s available will change from day to day.
