Our Programs
Clothing Program
New Circles offers a free service that provides new or gently used, quality clothing to individuals and families in need, in order to meet their requirements for seasonally appropriate clothing. Our unique clothing program simulates a retail experience, offering a comfortable, inclusive and welcoming environment. We stock clothing for the whole family including essentials such as winter coats, boots and running shoes as well as specialty items such as maternity wear, and plus size clothing. Our dedicated and diverse volunteer base is critical to the success of our clothing program. This environment also serves as a training platform for clients enrolled in our skills training programs, so that they can build employable skills and transition into the workplace.
Needs Assessment & Referral Services
New Circles will provide individual and/or family settlement support by conducting needs and assets assessments to eligible clients using the National Standardized Assessment for system (NAARS). Using the Standard NAARS model, we will develop and provide a personalized and portable settlement plan and identify appropriate referrals to services and opportunities in your community.
Newcomer Settlement Services
The Newcomer Settlement Services supports the social and economic integration of newcomers to Ontario. Program activities address settlement, language training and employment needs, ensuring that newcomers have the support, skills and opportunities to participate in their local communities and in the labour market.
Employment Programs
New Circles provides comprehensive employment services to newcomers, refugees, and equity-deserving individuals and families. For up to 12-weeks, and at no charge, we ready our clients for employment in business and retail, office work, home support work, or we provide guidance to help them start their own businesses.
