Home Support Worker
Home Support Worker Training Program is a free full-time, 6-week hybrid program that provides virtual learning and industry connections. The program focuses on social emotional skills development, technical skills, along with home support sector and basic entrepreneurial skills. Preliminary training includes free First Aid and CPR training.
Business Office Skills
Business Office Skills is a free, 8-week full-time online training program for newcomer women. Eligible participants are selected to complete a 100-hour work placement with our community partners. The program combines virtual instructor-led training and hands-on or remote experience in administrative and/or customer services positions.
Retail & Customer Service Skills
Retail and Customer Service Skills is a free 12-week hybrid program that includes a combination of virtual learning and hands-on experience in our store, where participants complete 80-hours paid work placement.
Digital Support Workshops
This workshop will cover digital basics and awareness, online collaboration tools, email etiquette, and online employment tools.
Job Search Workshops
We offer employability skills workshops designed to equip participants with ‘job ready’ skills such resume writing, interview preparation, job search techniques and networking.
Entrepreneurial Workshop
The entrepreneurial program includes series of sessions geared towards equipping participants with the knowledge to start their own businesses. The program is open to racialized newcomers who have the capacity to converse in and understand English. This program will teach you how to earn money for yourself and your family! New Circles will provide the materials, training partners, and community connections to set you up for success.
Some of the topics include: Business Plan development, Financing, Taxation, Research & Marketing. Participants could also participate in our Ecommerce Training for Entrepreneurs.
