Volunteering FAQ

1. Does New Circles offer volunteer opportunities outside your operating hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday?

Currently, we only have volunteer opportunities during these days and times. However, we may have seasonal or event-based opportunities that may arise outside of operational hours. Please email volunteer@newcircles.ca to inquire further.

2. What is the minimum volunteer commitment?

Most of our volunteer opportunities require a 3-hour weekly commitment. We are happy to work with your schedule. Please contact volunteer@newcircles.ca to learn more.

3. Is there free parking available at the volunteer site?

Yes! New Circles is located on the corner of Bartley Drive and Hobson Avenue. There is free street parking available on Hobson Avenue.

4. Do you accommodate individuals with special needs?

We will always do our best to accommodate most volunteers with developmental or physical disabilities. Make sure you contact us in advance to advise of any disabilities.

5. What is the minimum age limit for volunteers at New Circles?

The minimum age to volunteer at New Circles is 16 years of age.

6. My company or organization wants to come in and volunteer as a group. Is this possible?

We welcome groups from companies, organizations, schools with a minimum age of 16, along with their supervisors, to volunteer at New Circles. We cannot accommodate groups any large than ten. Contact us at volunteer@newcircles.ca and we will answer all your questions regarding accommodating your group.

7. Is it safe to volunteer at New Circles?

Safety is our priority and we have updated all our procedures and processes to ensure that we make New Circles a safe and welcoming environment for clients, volunteers and staff.  Volunteers, staff, and clients are required to stay home if they have any symptoms of cold or flu, engage in frequent handwashing or use hand sanitizer. Our required health and safety training includes information related to COVID-19. Please email volunteer@newcircles.ca if you have any additional questions.
