Newcomer Settlement Program

Helping Newcomers Settle Successfully

Moving to a new country is a culture shock. There is an adjustment in getting used to new foods, language, customs, people, and new surroundings. New Circles is here to help. We provide assistance in connecting you with housing, childcare, accessing social assistance such as Ontario Works, and navigating the immigration process.

The Settlement Support Program offers support to immigrants to Canada with personalized information, referrals, workshops, and other supports, in order to meet needs and assist with challenges beyond basic clothing.

Our Intake Assistant will meet with you to determine your needs and make appropriate referrals to other community agencies or New Circles programs (including employment training and volunteer opportunities).

This personalized, holistic approach will help you determine your challenges and goals, create an action plan, and provide follow-up support.
