Your gift will help to create lasting, social change. New Circles assists more than 14,000 clients every year. We break down barriers, provide solutions, and help our clients build better lives.

Donating funds, in any capacity, will make a lasting difference in the lives of our clients. There are many options in terms of financial donations, whether it’s a one-time donation or a monthly commitment. Your donation is tax-deductible and will receive a charitable donation tax receipt.

Many clients at New Circles are immigrants or newcomers to Canada. Our approach is to address the most urgent needs of our clients and then build upon that care. We ensure that housing, food security, and clothing are an immediate priority. Our wrap-around approach goes beyond those basic needs and offers skills training programs so that our clients discover possibility and build betters lives.

Ways to Donate

Donate securities and avoid the capital gains tax

Here’s a tax-smart tip! You can make a gift of securities to New Circles. Donate publicly traded securities, bonds, mutual funds and other investments without having to pay capital gains tax. You will receive a tax receipt for the full appreciated value of a donation of publicly traded stock or securities, and you will not be subject to any capital gains tax on the donated stock. Bequests

When you include New Circles in your will, you are leaving a legacy gift to help support programs for future generations. Bequests can take the form of a lump-sum gift, a percentage of your estate or specific property. You can also make New Circles the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Talk to your financial advisor to determine which investments will make the most philanthropic and financial impact for you.

Tribute Gifts

A tribute gift is a wonderful way to honour the memory of a loved one. You may also consider making a special gift to celebrate a milestone event with your family, friends or colleagues. Birthdays, anniversaries, and retirement are wonderful opportunities to honour the moment with a gift that can change someone else’s life.

United Way

If you are contributing to a United Way, or any other workplace giving campaign such as Benevity, you are able to direct all or part of your donation to New Circles. Simply select the option to designate your donation directly to New Circles, enter your donation amount, and include our registered charity number (CRN 83634 3673 RR0001). Tax receipts for the full amount of your donation will be issued by United Way.
