Recognizing Youth Volunteers – Community Service Awards

New Circles hosted the second annual Community Service Awards , where six exceptional youth were recognized for their outstanding commitment to volunteerism. Each recipient received both a Community Service Award and $500.

Awards were granted based on criteria that included, entering post-secondary education for the first year, financial eligibility and demonstrated commitment to volunteering and philanthropic initiatives. Congratulations are in order to these incredible youth, who combined had over 5500 hours of voluntary service in diverse areas, including school breakfast programs, hospitals, community-based agencies, environmental initiatives, teaching/tutoring, sports coaching and mentoring students with disabilities, amongst others. If these youth are the future we, as a community, are in good hands!

New Circles would like to thank the donors that make the financial awards possible, promoting volunteerism and encouraging youth through their generosity.

In order to create a fair, objective and transparent process, New Circles sets up a volunteer Selection Committee to review all applications and make awarding decisions. New Circles wishes to recognize the committee for their support and dedication to this initiative.
